SLASC Presents The End of Term Archive: Safe Guarding the Data at the End
The student chapter of the Special Libraries Association at the SJSU School of Information encourages students and alumni to attend a web presentation by Stanford's James Jacobs about the process of archiving government websites after an administration change. This free online event is open to everyone.
Abstract: The End of Term Web Archive captures and saves U.S. Government websites at the end of presidential administrations. Beginning in 2008, the EOT has thus far preserved websites from administration changes in 2008 and 2012, and is currently working on the 2016 electoral season.
