Alumnus David Cismowski Appointed Chief of the California State Library Services Bureau

David CismowskiDavid Cismowski, a 2000 San José State University School of Information graduate, has accepted his appointment as Chief of the State Library Services (SLS) Bureau. The appointment was announced by Stacey Aldrich, State Librarian of California.

In his new position, which began on December 2, 2009, Cismowski is overseeing the administration of the State Library’s public service divisions: the California History Room, Government Publications, Information Services, the Bernard E. Witkin State Law Library, the Sutro Library, and the Braille and Talking Book Library.

Prior to accepting his new position, Cismowski served as Supervising Librarian II of the Government Publications Section of the State Library.
