The School of Information offers programs that are 100% online. Because of this exclusively online environment, technology is a critical tool in achieving outcomes in delivering course content.
Virtual resources include our learning management system; web conferencing platform; lecture capture tools; tools to create and share multimedia; and communication tools, such as our website, instant messaging, blogs, and social media sites
The School provides access, training, and support for a number of technology tools. The following examples are linked to resources faculty members and students can access in order to learn to use these tools effectively:
The School not only provides training and adoption support through administrative and staff work, but it also promotes continual sharing among faculty about tools they are using and their best practices. The School's T3 (Teaching Tips and Techniques) provides ongoing online faculty training throughout the year. It is mandatory for faculty to attend at least one session.
