What I am doing now.

I perform professional library work and provide information in general reference, adult services, collection development. I moderate a monthly book club, assist with adult programming, provide readers advisory, and support the Veterans Resource Center. 

What are the most valuable skills I use in my job?

There are so many skills that I use in my job as a librarian. Some have come from a variety of previously held library positions and the rest I learned from the MLIS program at SJSU. The most valuable skills I use are communication, evaluating needs of the patrons, multitasking and management skills and customer service.
