First Wednesday of the Month Series
Each month during the academic year, Jill Klees, iSchool Career Center Liaison, conducts informal workshops for current students and alumni via Blackboard Collaborate. These workshops allow for an interactive question and answer discussion with a focus on different topics such as resume writing, telephone interviewing, the job search, etc. These workshops are recorded and made available as Collaborate Recordings and Podcasts.

Explore how to positively create your online presence using social media, specifically the use of LinkedIn. Learn why the use of social media is important to your job search and gain tips for creating a powerful profile. This is a great opportunity to ask questions.

Session II – How do you represent yourself to the world on paper?
Pick-up tips and strategies to effectively marketing yourself when filling out applications, supplemental questionnaires, navigating past applicant tracking systems, and crafting your resume and cover letter. Come prepared to get your questions answered.

Session III – How do you represent yourself to the world in the interview?
If interviewing still makes you weak in the knees, develop a new strategy. Learn how to prep for an interview and develop answers to common interview questions to boost your confidence. This is a great opportunity to ask your burning questions about interviewing.
