Online Career Workshops

Online Career Development Workshop
First Thursday of the Month Series

Each month during the academic year, Jill Klees, iSchool Career Center Liaison, conducts informal workshops for current students and alumni via Blackboard Collaborate. These workshops allow for an interactive question and answer discussion with a focus on different topics such as resume writing, telephone interviewing, the job search, etc. These workshops are recorded and made available as Collaborate Recordings.

Upcoming workshops:

Thursday, November 2, 2017 - Transferable Skills and the LIS Degree: How to Market Your LIS Skills to Job Markets Outside Libraries

Join me for a discussion about how to sell ALL of the information organization, communication, and collaboration skills you’ve developed in library school for non-library job markets. Come prepared with questions! This webinar is appropriate for current iSchool students and recent graduates looking to expand their job search and is co-sponsored by SJSU’s ASIS&T Student Chapter.

All workshops run from 5:30 pm PDT to 6:30 pm PDT and are recorded.
