New Student Meet-ups Fall 2017

Peer mentors for INFO 203 will conduct a series of meet-ups prior to the start of the semester. Topics, dates and times will be listed here as they are scheduled. Each session is approximately one hour in duration. To register to attend one or more of the meet-up sessions, please use the RSVP Form (link is external). You may RSVP for as many sessions as you like. Please return to this page for additional information.

Time Management During Your MLIS Career

Daily life is full of obligations such as work and family life. Once you add Library School, you add a whole other obligation. Join us as we navigate the world of library school with tips to make time management work for you. Apart from time management tips, we’ll share resources and discuss techniques that can be useful now and when you are in the midst of the MLIS program.

Getting the Most from your Library Job while at the iSchool

Networking - Building Friendships & Support in the Program

Due to the nature of distance learning, oftentimes while working your way through this program you might feel all alone, even though there are dozens of different students working their own way through the program. But you don’t have to feel alone! Join us as we discuss ways to network with others in the program, find friends to buddy up with, and other tricks and techniques for fighting off a case of the lonelies.
