Acquiring a Virtual Internship

Overview

Acquiring a Virtual Internship

  • Aim for internship opportunities that relate to your passions and future goals. Your work will be largely self-motivated and having a high level of interest will be beneficial to both you and the institution that you intern with.
  • Apply for more than one internship. Setting your sights on one specific internship may not be realistic. A position may already be filled or project needs at an internship site may change. Your best bet is to apply for several internships that interest you and narrow the choice down later if necessary.
  • Some virtual internship sites will ask for your resume and a cover letter as part of their application process. Check out these helpful tips for writing a resume and a cover letter.
