New Student Meet-ups Spring 2019

Peer mentors for INFO 203 will conduct these sessions for new students in January. The sessions and topics will be posted in early January.

Dream Work: Making the Team Work

In this program, the majority of your classes will require group projects. This meet-up will offer you ideas/suggestions on: tools for planning group work; best ways to communicate; how to handle difficult group work situations; and a number of tips/strategies for working as a group in an online environment. Being a team player and working well with others are essential skills for this program, as well as for future endeavors. Let us better prepare you!

Surviving While Sprinting: Tips for Time Management, Course Planning, and Saving Coursework

Tools for Connecting with Classmates

Learn how to create a Group in Canvas, a shared Google Drive. As many of the courses require group work it is important to understand what tech tools students have available to work with. It is also helpful to have connections with other students to create a network of support.
