Rachel Clarke Wins 2007 Karen Sternheim Memorial Scholarship From SLA

Student Rachel Clarke was recently awarded the 2007 Karen Sternheim Memorial Scholarship by the Southern California Chapter of the Special Libraries Association. Clarke is a member of the Society of American Archivists and the American Society for Information Science and Technology, and she plans to use her scholarship award to attend her first SLA conference this June in Denver.

I am pleased and extremely honored to be the recipient of the 2007 Karen Sternheim Scholarship. Special libraries and special collections have interested me since I began studying library and information science. I feel that the scholarship will help in more ways than just tuition; it has already offered me the opportunity to meet and network with other amazing people in the field. I am looking forward to attending the SLA conference in Denver this summer.
