The deadlines listed refer to the date by which applications, application fees, and transcripts must be received. They do not refer to the postmark date.
Important note: Apply as early as possible within the time frames listed below. The SJSU School of Information makes decisions on an application as soon as all of the documentation has been received. The school does not review all applications at one time after the deadline. Earliest applications will be decided before later ones are received.

Graduating with a Bachelor's Degree in Fall 2017?
If you are graduating in December of 2017 with a bachelor's degree and want to begin our MLIS program in Spring 2018, you can apply for admission by the deadline. You will need to submit transcripts with your most recent grades (spring or summer 2017). The Graduate Admissions office will calculate your GPA based on your last 60 semester (90 quarter) units. If your GPA is 3.0 or higher, you will be admitted on a provisional basis and given another deadline to submit your final transcript with degree posted. Once your final transcript is received by SJSU Graduate Admissions, your GPA will once again be calculated to ensure it has not dropped below 3.0.Your final transcript with degree posted must be received before the first day of your first semester. Financial Aid will not be distributed until your final transcript has been received and you have been admitted unconditionally.
