Comment: Our experiments working with library space simulations now make this rigorous evaluation possible. We created a trial system that could easily accommodate thousands of reviewers to tour a real-life space built in simulation. This library spaces research project used new 3D content construction methods to represent real-world building interiors in immersive simulations so that a reviewer, via an avatar, is able to tour the space from any location. Initially we sent 40 graduate students through six library spaces modeled on exemplary real-life spaces and asked them what they would improve.
