INTERNSHIP OPPORTUNITY AT COMMUNITY LIBRARY InWORLDz

There is a virtual internship opportunity available to SLIS students at SJSU. Below is the description of the internship:

Assist in ongoing development of a collection of virtual books and posters. Assist in creating small exhibits. Heather Ebey will train the selected applicant how to create posters from images, add LSL scripts, and how to create up to 5 kinds of virtual world books depending on the US copyright status of a book. Applicant will create the books and posters based on the collections approved by the Community Library board. Must attend library board meetings, which are about twice a month. Will include working in Google Docs on lists of books and may include creating a searchable database of the collections. Assist in researching topics as needed.

Our original library is in the Delphi region.

This internship is virtual and non-archival and unpaid.
