SJSU Graduate Equity Fellowship

Post

The Graduate Equity Fellowship was created to encourage and assist students in their pursuit and completion of master’s degrees and careers. This fellowship is available only to California resident students admitted and enrolled in a master’s degree program. Credential-only candidates are not eligible.

Under the Graduate Equity Fellowship Program, awards from $1,000 to $3,000 may be made to graduate students enrolled at SJSU for the fall/spring academic year in which the call for applications is announced. Students must be enrolled in both academic terms and complete a minimum of 6 units in each. These 12 units must appear on the master’s candidacy form. Coursework used to complete program prerequisites will not fulfill this enrollment requirement.  Program core coursework will fulfill the requirement.

Eligibility is based on possession of a first university degree equivalent to the U.S. baccalaureate by the first day of the fall semester, admission into a master’s program at SJSU, residency in the state of California, demonstration of a GPA of at least 2.7 in all undergraduate work, demonstration/maintenance of a GPA of at least 3.0 in all coursework, demonstration of a minimum financial need of $1,000, and at least 12 semester units of graduate work left to be completed.
