SLIS lecturer, Richie Partington, will serve as a finalist judge for this year’s CYBIL Awards in the middle grade/young adult nonfiction category. The CYBILS are the annual Children’s and Young Adult Bloggers’ Literary Awards. The awards are given each year for the best children’s and young adult titles. Nominations are open to the public between October 1-15.

Richie will also be serving on the picturebook judging panel for the Green Earth Book Awards. The Green Earth Book Award was created by the Newton Marasco Foundation in partnership with Salisbury University to promote books that “inspire children to grow a deeper appreciation, respect, and responsibility for their natural environment” (Newton Marasco Foundation, 2011).
