What I am doing now.
I am currently leading digitization projects, including building a new digital collection of performance programs dating back to the 1930s and managing archival collections with the open-source software Collective Access. I also assist in processing materials and other general functions in the archives.
What are the most valuable skills I use in my job?
I have really benefited from the skills and experiences obtained during my Web Usability, Digitization & Digital Preservation and XML courses. But everything really does relate and cross over in ways I never imagined! For instance, my coursework and background in teaching has also given me a better understanding of how I want to present information and collections online.
