What I am doing now.
I published a memoir The Big Red Suitcase available on Amazon and Barnes & Noble about my senior year abroad in Europe and immigration to Canada 5 years later.
What are the most valuable skills I use in my job?
When my children attended elementary school in the early 90s, I volunteered in their classrooms as a Reading Tutor. This experience propelled me to go back to school as a mature student, pursuing a degree in Library Science and working as a library technician in local high schools for over twenty years. Although my position was technical, I also volunteered on judging and steering committees for the Ontario Library Association’s Forest of Reading program and the IBPA’s Ben Franklin Awards, as well as virtual committees with the YALSA In the American Library Association.
