Global Coffee Sales Analysis
Gabriel Allen and Nikhil Garg, 2026 Showcase
Global Coffee Sales Analysis: The purpose of our analysis is to examine the impact of customer demographics, weather, and product preferences on sales within a coffee shop setting. This information is important for coffee shops to base their decision-making based on inventory, employee scheduling, and marketing strategies. A beginner analysis into a Kaggle dataset based on a year’s worth of real-world retail foot-traffic and coffee shop sales benchmarks, this project garnered insights from the metadata behind a given order where we trained a proof-of-concept model to allow cafe owners to predict the amount of orders they may receive in a given day. This will especially help with staffing and inventory, which may be difficult to predict.
