March Article Discussion with the AANHPI iSchool Student Group
Join the Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander
iSchool Student Group for a March Article Discussion! In
collaboration with AANHPI iSchool Student Group member, Moni
Keary (she/her), we will be engaging in a fruitful group
discussion about the written piece: The “Four Prisons” and the
Movements of Liberation: Asian American Activism from the 1960s
to the 1990s by Glenn Omatsu (2010), found in chapter 16 of the
book Asian American Studies Now: A Critical Reader edited by Jean
Yu-wen, Shen Wu, Thomas C. Chen. The article is available to view
prior to the event through the SJSU King Library database
(https://csu-sjsu.primo.exlibrisgroup.com/permalink/01CALS_SJO/1qa2v7t/cdi_jstor_books_10_2307_j_ctt18040wj_9),
but the meeting will begin with a short presentation from Moni
with an overview of the article’s key points.
The AANHPI iSchool Student Group is focused on bringing awareness
