Accessible Education Center

Students who need accommodation due to a disability must register with SJSU’s Accessible Education Center (AEC). The Center will work with the students to determine the disability, document it, and determine the services and accommodations necessary for student success. Then, the AEC will contact the faculty member to determine the types of consideration necessary.

For captioning services and other accommodations, deaf/HOH students should work directly with the Accessibility and Education Center (AEC). New students should contact AEC when enrolling in their first courses so captioning arrangements can be made each semester. For questions about captioning, media accessibility, or instructional accessibility support within iSchool courses, please contact AEC.
