What I am doing now.

I am currently teaching 8th grade English and Fundamentals of Literacy. In addition, I help run the Parent/Student Library Committee, the Drama Club and the Multicultural Club.

What are the most valuable skills I use in my job?

Although I am not currently working in a library position, I still work very closely with our school’s library. I help monitor the Parent/Student Library Committee, which works hard to create a close relationship between the public and the school library. I deal with censorship issues on a regular basis and the skills I learned in SLIS have proven to be invaluable.
