What I am doing now.

I work in the libraries’ Digital Initiatives group and oversee the libraries’ digitization program, including Colby’s institutional repository Digital Commons @ Colby.

What are the most valuable skills I use in my job?

My SLIS training in metadata and cataloging proved invaluable in preparing me for the world of the working librarian. I have also been well served by the school’s commitment to the foundations of librarianship and its emphasis on information technology skills.
