What I am doing now.

I am a research and instruction librarian at the University of La Verne in Southern California. I am one of the liaisons to the college of arts and sciences. I mainly teach students in the social sciences.  

What are the most valuable skills I use in my job?

The ability to work with well with people of all ages and backgrounds is a necessary skill in any librarian position. I work with faculty to schedule instruction for their classes and to add items to our collection that meet their research and teaching needs. I meet one-on-one with students that need additional help finding resources for their research.
