What are the most valuable skills I use in my job?
My emphasis on emerging technology and technical services in courses at SJSU SLIS have best prepared me for work in the technical services field. I was able to focus on cataloging (including the transition to Resource Description and Access (RDA)), vocabulary design, digitization projects, manuscript processing, web design and more during my time at SJSU SLIS. Additionally, practice with teamwork, particularly in the online environment has been enormously helpful as I work with groups like the CLA and IPSC, virtually, as well as in person.
