Data Privacy in Mexico, Central and South America, and the Caribbean: This project is a high level examination of the impact of the European Unions General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) on countries in region including Mexico, Central and South America, and the Caribbean. It focuses on the change in data privacy legislation before and after GDPR and then zooms in Brazil’s Lei Geral de Proteção de Dados (LGPD) legislation. In addition to the Ignite Talk, the project includes a video presentation.
Corrin Elizabeth spent a decade as a data scientist and engineer before deciding to become a librarian. She plans to work in public librarianship after graduating with her MLIS degree.
