Blockchain: Transforming the Technological Future
Faculty Presentation

Faculty Conference Presentation

Blockchain technology is a trend on the brink of revolutionizing the public and private sectors. There have been conferences, books, white papers, start-ups, and numerous back-channel discussions on ways blockchain technology can address the many possible uses of blockchain technologies. This panel presentation will include the principle investigators of the IMLS-funded investigation on the feasibility of blockchain technologies for the information professions, and key technology experts involved in blockchain applications. Join Sandy Hirsh and Sue Alman (SJSU iSchool), Bohyun Kim (LITA President), Jason Griffey (Evenly Distributed), and John Bracken (DPLA) as they present some of the many possible library blockchain applications that were identified during the two-year investigation.
