Step into one of the most globally consequential archives roles in the world. The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), the UN’s nuclear watchdog, is hiring a Records and Archives Specialist to manage high-value information related to nuclear nonproliferation, safety, and science. Based in Vienna, this position plays a critical role in ensuring that records related to nuclear inspections, international treaties, and sensitive communications are preserved, classified, and accessible according to strict security and information governance standards.

You’ll be responsible for leading digital records initiatives, ensuring compliance with the IAEA’s records retention policies, improving metadata and searchability across systems, and providing guidance to departments across the agency. The ideal candidate has experience with electronic records management systems (ERMS), knowledge of international recordkeeping standards, and thrives in a multicultural and high-security environment.

This role isn’t just about data—it’s about protecting humanity’s historical and scientific memory at the intersection of diplomacy, science, and peace.
