iSchool Forty for Forty Alumni Celebration – November 29, 2007
San José State University School of Information celebrated the fortieth anniversary of its initial year of accreditation in 1967 with an award ceremony recognizing forty distinguished alumni.
Over the years, iSchool graduates have worked and pursued careers in a wide variety of institutions. iSchool alumni have taken the skills, values, ethics and professional knowledge that they gained while studying at the school and have left their mark for the better.

Cindy Hill (Outstanding Alumni–1979, past president of Special Library Association, Executive at Failure Analysis Associates and Sun Microsystems, Principal at Hill Information Consulting Group), George Plosker (Outstanding Alumni–1977, Information Industry Executive at IEEE, Dialog, Thomson Gale, author) and Monica Ertel (Outstanding Alumni–1977, Executive at Apple Computer, Global Knowledge Management and Research, Innovative Interfaces, Inc., and Bain & Company) are among the diverse and accomplished Alumni gathered for the celebration.
