iSchool Connext
Current graduate students and alumni of the San José State University School of Information are automatically welcomed as members of the school’s official student and alumni association, iSchool Connext. Through the combined association of current and former students, members can make new contacts, participate in networking events, collaborate on special projects, and further their professional development.
The inclusive and supportive community of students and alumni hosts a variety of activities and events – in-person and virtual – such as institutional tours, resume workshops, and guest lectures. Members also meet up at local, regional, and national conferences of professional organizations like the California Library Association, American Library Association, and the Special Libraries Association. Activities are open to all students and alumni in order to promote scholarly and professional development and achievement.

iSchool Connext was formed in 2011 from the merging of the school’s alumni association and student organization. Under faculty advisor Dr. Kristen Rebmann’s leadership, the combined association encourages expanded collaboration and communication between current students and alumni, creating lifelong connections that enrich their scholarly and professional careers. iSchool Connext is the official student/alumni association of the SJSU School of Information.
