What I am doing now.

Monitoring and creating content for social media, digitizing materials, working with item metadata, evaluating new software, research for school sponsored book on founder, creating exhibits, creating and repairing finding aids, creating and repairing collections, working with donors and accepting donations, answering research requests, collaborating with other departments, accessioning department records, evaluating possible collections.

What are the most valuable skills I use in my job?

The iSchool’s internship program taught me how to be changeable depending upon differing situations compared with best practices to ensure that needs are met without exceeding budgets or creating discord with other departments. Classes gave me enough experience with popular software to allow me to jump into programs with minimal effort or confusion.
