iSchool Road Trip Mystery Location

Overview

As a fun way to engage with the iSchool community, we will be hosting an iSchool Road Trip social media contest. This will entail the iSchool posting a picture taken in various locations across the country, and at times, even internationally. Members of the iSchool community (e.g., students, alumni, faculty, staff, and governance committee members) are encouraged to guess the location. The winner will receive iSchool swag, such as a t-shirt, water bottle, mug, and other branded items.

Contest Rules

• The iSchool will post a picture at an undisclosed location on one of our social media channels, and the first person to correctly identify the specific location will be the Grand Prize winner. 
• Contest participants must identify the specific location with the name of the location and the city and state of the location. The iSchool may provide hints, and participants will publicly post their response. The first person to publicly answer the question correctly is the Grand Prize winner.
• The specific timestamp of comments to the iSchool’s social media channel will be used to determine who answered the question first. The iSchool’s social media moderator will decide on the accuracy of all responses including location, city, state, and time the correct response was posted.
• The iSchool will message the Grand Prize winner for their mailing address and mail a “swag” bag of iSchool branded items. By entering in this contest, participants agree to be publicly recognized and announced as the winner on the iSchool’s communication channels, such as social media and the website.
• Participants can only win this contest once a month.
• Participants must have a mailing address in the United States.
• Participants must be affiliated with the iSchool in some fashion either currently or in the past (this must be verifiable).

iSchool Social Media Pic-of-the-Month

Overview

As a fun way to engage with the iSchool community, we will be hosting an iSchool Pic-of-the-Month social media contest. There will be four different categories: School, Public, Academic, and General. This will entail a picture taken and posted by members of the iSchool community at SJSU, in a public area, an academic setting, or wherever you’d like! The winner will receive iSchool swag, such as a t-shirt, water bottle, mug, and other branded items.

Contest Rules

• Show your iSchool pride by taking a picture/video of yourself along with the name of our school (it can be handwritten) and post to our social media channels. Acceptable school names are SJSU iSchool and SJSU School of Information. Use the hashtag #sjsuischoolpride on your post.
• The iSchool will message the Grand Prize winner for their mailing address and mail a “swag” bag of iSchool branded items. By entering in this contest, participants agree to be publicly recognized and announced as the winner on the iSchool’s communication channels, such as social media and the website.
• Participants can only win this contest once a month.
• Participants must have a mailing address in the United States.
• Participants must be affiliated with the iSchool in some fashion either currently or in the past (this must be verifiable).
