Adjunct Faculty Librarian
What I am doing now.
I am currently working as an adjunct faculty librarian for a California community college. I work reference and teach information competency workshops for subject courses.
What are the most valuable skills I use in my job?
The most valuable skills I use for my job are communication, creativity, and flexibility. Helping students succeed in their academic goals is why I love this profession so much. The MLIS program prepared me for the start of my career which made the transition from graduate student to working Librarian smooth. I can’t say enough amazing things about the iSchool and the MLIS program, as well as my professors that encouraged and helped me along the way.
