CPL Walking & Running Program Marketing Proposal: The following document contains the marketing proposal for a running and walking club program at Caledon Public Library in Ontario, Canada. The following proposal outlines the market research we conducted on a macro and micro level to ascertain the validity of this program proposal, the target goals and objectives of the program, the branding as well as the promotional efforts of the program, the physical and digital press releases and messaging for the program, some targeted partnership opportunities with local businesses, the municipalities recreational team, and grassroots outdoor groups, the budget for the rollout of the program, and finally the evaluation methods will be implemented to assess the program’s success or failure.
Amber Iñiguez: “I am a Mexican American born in Los Angeles and committed to serving my community through librarianship. I currently work for the Fort Worth Public Library and am pursuing my goal of becoming a public teen librarian. I am passionate about creating engaging, inclusive, and imaginative programs that help young people feel acknowledged, supported, and inspired.”
Joe Mullins: “With professional experience spanning multiple marketing roles and positions in libraryland, I currently serve as a Community Librarian while completing my MLIS degree through the San José State University program. I am passionate about connection, outreach, and marketing, and I draw from every stage of my career to connect people with information, ideas, and each other. In my cross-departmental role, I collaborate with Public Service, Collections, Programming, and Leadership teams to assess community needs and enhance service models.
“Outside of my professional work, I am deeply passionate about fitness and running, which shape both my personal well-being and my professional creativity. These interests directly inspired the development of the following proposal, which brings together community connection, wellness, and library engagement. By weaving movement and health into library programming, I aim to create meaningful opportunities for connection that extend beyond traditional service models.”
Praditya Fulumirani: “I’m a graduate student in the San Jose State University School of Information with 4+ years of experience in library operations, administrative support, public relations, and social media. I am currently working part-time at my local public library and also as a student assistant in the SJSU MLIS program. I am interested in finding innovative ways to promote library services and boost community engagement. In the future, my goal is to bridge modern communication trends with traditional librarianship to keep libraries fresh and flexible.”
