Critically Examining Google, Chat GPT 3.5 and Bing Deep Search: Google, Chat CPT 3.5 and Bing’s Deep Search are examined in terms of helping with a research question about insects used within a cultural context. Each tool has a different approach, and it is apparent that even though these tools are powerful, the need for information professionals is imperative more than ever to help guide patrons to use these tools in a way that helps them find the information they need when researching.

Sabine Asanger

Sabine Asanger (she/her) is originally from a small town near Munich, Germany and now lives in Chatsworth near Los Angeles, CA. She holds a BS and MA in Film, TV and New Media from San Diego State University. For the last decade she has been working in the Property Department for various shows. Since Spring 2024, Sabine has been part of the MLIS program, and is enjoying every part of it. Her love for researching the functionality, history and aesthetics of props; as well as organizing and cataloging props has led her on a journey towards archives or special librarianship. In her spare time, she likes to visit all types of museums, explore nature, and hang out with her three guinea pigs.
