Showcase INFM 204 - Human Centered Design

DreamHorse

DreamHorse: This is a user-centered information design project. The purpose of this project is redesigning the knowledge structures of a website. We have contemplated various aspects of the site (its target users, its strengths and weaknesses, and ways to improve it). This project includes identifying objectives and stakeholders, and outlining the scope of work—from developing a user research plan, to designing the site model and wireframes, and writing a project report with recommendations for the stakeholders. Our team identified solutions to enhance user experience of the website DreamHorse.com (https://www.dreamhorse.com/).

Mayra Mesa

Mayra Mesa: “I completed my Bachelor of Science in Information Systems in 2001. It is my dream to return to school and finish my master’s. San Jose State University has offered me that opportunity. I am glad to be learning about the most up-to-date technology. I started the program in 2021 hoping to finish in 2023. I have been married for 18 years and I have 2 children, Emily (15) and Jeremy (13). I run a small business from home while home-schooling my kids and taking classes online. It has been a great opportunity to learn these skills and grow as a person.”
