Historia de Rosa: Bibliotecaria
Rosa Y. Rodriguez, 2021 Showcase
Historia de Rosa: Bibliotecaria: I created Historia de Rosa: Bibliotecaria, a virtual space to share my journey and experiences in the Master of Library and Information Science (MLIS) degree program at San Jose State University. The space is hosted through Mozilla Hubs, an open-source 3D virtual reality technology. Using an editor tool called Spoke, I customized the space using scenes, 3D models, videos, personal images, and links to projects. I invited friends and family to join me and experience this virtual space which showcased my scholarly work, professional development, and involvement with the REFORMA San José State University iSchool Student and Alumni Group. Guests were provided with a link to the virtual space, and brief instructions on navigating the room. They navigated the room on their own, and we used the camera feature in Mozilla Hubs to take selfies of our avatars.
