The “History of Feminist Literature: A Bitmoji Virtual Library” was designed to create an informative and engaging guide to feminist literature as a supplement to a high school or college-level introduction to modern history or literature course. Each wave of feminism has a room showcasing three authors with their Wikipedia biography, a selection from one of their books, and a podcast episode discussing the author and their book. Irene Miller (she/her) started the MLIS program at SJSU in August of 2021. She has a B.A. in Anthropology and an interest in too many topics to pick anything other than Library and Information Science for a Master’s program. This project was a fascinating opportunity to merge information she is passionate about with an interactive method of sharing information.
