Inspiration Report: The Pursuit of Happiness: This project examines what we can learn from the happiest countries on the planet (according to the World Happiness Index), and how we might apply the principles to libraries. It includes a scorecard to evaluate programs and facility upgrades in terms of key elements, and a way to link happiness/wellness factors to the professional review process.

Heather Harris-Brady is the marketing and communications manager at the Traverse Area District Library in Traverse City, MI. She is pursuing a MLIS degree from SJSU to work behind the public library scenes, and hopes to advance the library profession via training and other tools. She has a B.A. in journalism from Michigan State University.
