LGBTQ+ Teens and Tiktok
Emily Boris, 2022 Showcase
LGBTQ+ Teens and Tiktok: We were tasked with creating a media-based artifact based on our chosen community’s use of emerging technologies and how they use technology to advance the community or share information. In researching the information seeking habits of LGBTQ+ teens, Tiktok was a common point of education, belonging and information sharing. In response I created a Tiktok- or a short form video- utilizing these concepts and utilized a common format and backing sound (an audio clip from World’s Smallest Violin by AJR ) to fit the medium.
