Open Education Workshop: DEI + OER
Quinn Christie, 2022 Showcase
Open Education Workshop: DEI + OER: This video provides a brief overview of how to advance DEI initiatives through the use of Open Educational Resources (OER). Intended as part of a larger workshop on OER, this presentation is aimed at an audience of instructors at the presenter’s college or university. The information is broken down into three sections that correspond to the concepts of diversity, equity, and inclusion. Resources for further exploration are included at the end. This presentation will be made available as an OER in PDF, Google Slides, and video formats, so the information can be shared in the spirit of open education.
Quinn Christie will complete her MLIS program in Fall 2022. While her background is in art history and textile design, her focus during this program has been on issues surrounding information organization and access. She currently works as a Processing Archivist intern at Seton Hall University and is interested in pursuing a career in art librarianship or archives.
