Chris Nelson (aka Snow Scarmon in Second Life) received her Bachelor of Arts from Washington State University and completed her Master of Library and Information Science from San José State University School of Information in 2011. She will complete her Master of Archives and Record Administration program at San José State University School of Information in December 2014.

She served two years as a reference librarian at Community Virtual Library (CVL), three years in collection development, and currently manages the CVL exhibit space. For two years Chris was editor of Rez Libris, a small Second Life magazine for librarians and educators. Right now she is doing an internship with Lori Bell, assisting her with her INFO 287 course and creating a virtual archive to serve as an ongoing record of INFO 287 as a virtual learning platform for creative and educational uses of virtual world technologies.
