Mary-Carol Lindbloom is the executive director of the South Central Regional Library Council. She holds an MLS from Syracuse University and has worked in a variety of library types: university, public, museum, hospital, and library system. She serves on three school library system advisory councils.  She served on the planning team for My Info Quest SMS text reference service, chairs its marketing committee, and has been involved with four collaborative virtual reference programs. She was project director for the world’s first academic library virtual reference collaborative, Ready for Reference.  She also coordinated Renaissance Island, a cross-disciplinary educational sim in Second Life, which includes a manor house library and the Globe Theatre.
