Join SJSU iSchool Student and Alumni group REFORMA for a charla with Debbie Chavez, president and founder of Libraries for the World, an organization that collaborates with partners around the world to create libraries and help improve literacy in their communities.

Debbie has over 20 years of experience working in libraries and schools and has been volunteering on international library projects since 2015. When not working full time at Dell or helping her chef husband at their new restaurant, Debbie loves hiking, gardening, and listening to alt Latino music.
We’ll talk about her experience with service learning and funding the non-profit Libraries for the World.
