A presentation from Sabah Eltareb, Principal Librarian and
Assistant Director at the California State Library’s California
Research Bureau.
As you are working your way through Library School, it’s never
too early (or late) to be thinking about what you are going to do
after you graduate, and about options to leverage your education
and experience into a challenging and meaningful career.

Bio: Sabah Eltareb is the Principal Librarian and Assistant
Director at the California Research Bureau, part of the
California State Library. She has worked on a number of different
projects and as her roles evolved in two very distinct public
services bureaus at the State Library – the State Library
Services Bureau and the California Research Bureau – was able to
work on cross bureau activities gleaned from those experiences.
She has held leadership positions in the Government Information
and Social Science Divisions (Communities) of the Special
Libraries Association as well as with the Legislative Research
Librarians and the Legislative Staff Coordinating Committee of
the National Conference of State Legislatures. Prior to the State
Library, Sabah worked in public and academic libraries, the
Social Security Administration, and family-owned small
businesses.
