In Part 2: Online Participatory Archives we’ll be joined by guest speakers Emily Cain & Mark Custer, from the Smithsonian Transcription Center to chat about how the transcription center harnesses the power of digital volunteers, from the practical to the technical logistics.

After we’ll exchange stories about the artifacts we’ve transcribed over the week & the lessons we learned from the transcription process.
