Snow talks at noon on Friday!

Here’s the description of her talk:

Student Experience: The Good, the Bad, the Ugly and Why

Snow Scarmon/Chris Nelson is in SJSU’s Master’s in Archival Records Administration. She first came to SL about 5 years ago as a student in SJSU’s Master’s in Library and Information Science and she has been actively engaged in education and library science activities ever since. Those activities include developing a number of collections for Community Virtual Library, creating Banned Book Week displays and she currently manages the CVL exhibit area. Snow has also been the editor of a small sl magazine for librarians and held the position of archivist for the Frank Lloyd Wright group.

Her favorite things to do are explore SL looking for locations that can enhance the educational immersive experience and working with people coming into SL for the first time as students the same way she did. It is very rewarding to share with them the SL she knows and the wealth of opportunities that sl makes possible.

Come and see what your fellow SLIS students are up to! It will be a very fun Ren Fair!

In preparation, check out the tour of the Palazzo Farnese.

If you have any other questions, email Lorelei Junot.
