Dr. Franks Elected to NAGARA Board of Directors

Dr. Patricia C. Franks

Dr. Patricia C. Franks was elected to the Board of Directors of the National Association of Government Archives and Records Administrators (NAGARA) at their 2013 Annual Meeting held in Indianapolis, Indiana, July 10-12. 

NAGARA is a professional association dedicated to the effective use and management of federal, state, and local government records and information in all formats. Franks will assume her responsibilities as board member on October 1, 2013.

Franks is an associate professor at the San José State University School of Library and Information Science. She is also the program coordinator for the information school’s fully online Master of Archives and Records Administration (MARA) degree program.

In addition, Franks serves as a faculty supervisor for the San José Gateway PhD program, an international doctoral program offered in a partnership between the San José State University School of Library and Information Science and Queensland University of Technology. Her research interests include archives and records administration, information systems and technologies, and management and leadership. She is currently participating in several research projects at the SJSU information school.
