ACRL-RBMS Conference Attendance Scholarships
Association Of College and Research Libraries Rare Books and Manuscripts Section Conference Attendance Scholarships
In partnership with the Association of College and Research Libraries (ACRL), the Rare Books and Manuscripts Section (RBMS) of ACRL is offering scholarships to subsidize first-time preconference attendance.
RBMS is committed to increasing diversity in its membership and the special collections and archival professions. Several preconference scholarships have been designated for applicants of underrepresented ethnic and racial groups, both for professional librarians and qualified students.
A minimum of 12 full and partial scholarships will be awarded. Full scholarships include a waiver of the preconference registration fee (up to $235 for professional ACRL members and $95 for full-time student members) plus a $750 travel and accommodation stipend.
Eligibility: All candidates must be currently enrolled in a library or information science, archival studies or museum studies program, or must have completed such a program. Candidates must also be members of ACRL who have not previously attended an RBMS preconference and who do not have sufficient institutional support to attend. Completion of online application is required.
For online application and more information, please see the ACRL RMBS Conferences webpage.
Deadline: March 30.
