As we find our rhythm for the week, Workshop Wednesday introduces an opportunity worth considering. Whether it’s a webinar or hands-on session, it’s a good reminder that learning doesn’t have to wait for a quieter season.
At NAGARA 2025, a central theme emerged: records managers are not passengers in the AI revolution - they’re copilots. From policy development that distinguishes high- vs. low-risk AI use cases to projects like transparent AI access to archival content, the message was clear: IG professionals hold the unique expertise to guide ethical and effective AI adoption. Strong metadata practices and human judgment remain non-negotiable. These roles already align with AI governance needs, making today’s skills directly future-proof.
