Rae Lynn Haliday Opportunities to perform records management skills taught in our MARA courses have expanded into all disciplines. Many of our past guest lecturers have illustrated through their exciting career positions just how far and wide a MARA degree can be used. The MARA program is furthering that aim by adding to our faculty, including an expert who spoke to us in September 2020. Welcome Rae Lynn Haliday, who brings decades of records management experience in the field of Zoology.

One of our newest archives faculty members, Junia Papas, MARA, CA, brings to our department a uniquely useful set of professional experiences. Papas is an independent archivist in her own consulting firm, Junia Papas Archival Consulting, LLC., with extensive experience with government, academic, and religious archives.

When I explored and priced Preservica three years ago for smaller institutions, who can also benefit from this superior archival management system, purchasing it was cost prohibitive. But no more.

MARA students are facing their culminating class projects over the next month. For first semester students who may be writing extensive research papers and projects, finding the latest and best peer-reviewed research for RIM, IG, and archives may not be easy or readily accessible outside trade journals or behind paywalls on the Internet. Matriculating students can always use a fast, liable source of the types of research requested for assignments or papers.
